secret websites club
15-year-old Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) has to babysit her little brother Toby (Toby Froud) while her father and stepmother (Christopher Malcolm), (Shelley Thompson) are away.
The girl, driven by her exuberant imagination, wishes that the child will be kidnapped by goblins - creatures from her favorite fantasy novel. He quickly begins to regret the carelessly spoken words when Goblin King Jareth (David Bowie) kidnaps the boy.
Sarah must enter the magic world ruled by Jareth (Bowie), whether she wants it or not, to save her brother.
Irritated by another evening spent caring for her little brother, Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) - an imaginative teenager - calls for help from the goblins in her favorite novel, The Labyrinth, to take her brother. When it turns out that the wish has come true and little Tobey (Toby Froud) has indeed disappeared, Sarah (Connelly) follows him into the world of fairy tales to free him from the hands of the malicious goblin king (Bowie), who is guarded by the castle itself - a real maze of deceptions and illusions, inhabited by unusual creatures, full of unknown dangers. In order to get through it and make it on time, since she was given 13 hours to find Tobey (Froud), she must outsmart the king (David Bowie), befriend the creatures she met along the way, and hope that their loyalty is not just another illusion in a place where nothing is what it looks like. If he fails, Tobey (Froud) will be turned into a goblin and will remain one forever.
"The Labyrinth" is a wonderful fantasy movie that features a whole host of creatures created by (Jim Henson) and his Creature Shop.
Jim is also the director of the film, his other works include: "Muppets on the trail", "Dark Crystal" or a few episodes of the popular series "Sesame Street". Wars ". The music legend (David Bowie) was also involved in the film, in addition to performing 5 original songs in the film, he also appears as an actor in one of the main roles. "Labyrinth" is a great family cinema for the whole family, combining various genres, including: comedy, musical, adventure and fantasy. David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly are the perfect duo in this movie. The young actress was just starting her adventure with film - she was only 15 years old at the time, and David already had several significant roles in the films: "The Man Who Fell to the Earth", "Ordinary Gigolo", "The Mystery of Immortality", "Happy Holidays, Colonel Lawrence, "Escape to the Night" and was already a popular musician all over the world. He sang in (Henson's) film and he found himself in it (he did it professionally), but he cannot be denied his acting talent, because he did an excellent job in this profession. After years and watching the film several times, I wonder why he did not get a single Oscar nomination. He could easily compete in the following categories: music, song, costumes, make-up, set design. Music plays an important role here, it is a perfectly connected companion for Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) adventures and where we expect her, it increases our emotions, it is one of the highlights of the film because it is really beautiful. The songs are the greatest asset of this film: "Magic Dance", "As The World Falls Down", "Within You" are brilliant songs that stay in your head for a long time.
The whole performance: set design, choreography, melodic rhythm, plus (David's) singing - a masterpiece! I will not exaggerate if I write that "The Labyrinth" is a masterpiece of cinematography. One of the most beautiful fairy tales ever made. Colorful, full of music, various monsters, with an idea, technically polished, with a high level of impact on our imagination. .
